LANGKAWI, Sept 5 (Bernama) -- Amanah Saham Anak Langkawi (ASAL), a subsidiary of the Kedah State Development Corporation, plans to take over the management of Kota Mahsuri here to become a bigger player in the tourism sector.
Its chairman, Datuk Paduka Abu Bakar Taib, said Asal was in the final stages of discussion with the company now managing Kota Mahsuri, formerly known as Makam Mahsuri, the tomb of Langkawi's legendary princess who was unjustly accused of adultery and put to death.
Kota Mahsuri, located in Kampung Mawat, Ulu Melaka, is a tourism product which draws most domestic and foreign tourists coming to the island.

I applause the plan.. But, if the place is taken over by ASAL i do hope the place shall be lighten up so that tourist arrival will be increase to the area.
