800 Expected At Langkawi Mountain Bike Challenge

KUALA LUMPUR, May 26 (Bernama) -- The Langkawi International Mountain Bike Challenge (LIMBC) 2010, to be held in Langkawi on Aug 7, is expected to see the participation of 800 riders.

Human Voyage Sdn Bhd (M) chief executive officer Datuk Malik Mydin said so far 300 participants had confirmed their participations.

"Besides locals, we also have participations from Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands and Thailand," he said when announcing the company as organiser of the competition here Wednesday.

Malik said the two-day competition consisted of four categories -- men's junior (Under 18), men's elite (19 years and above), women's elite (19 years and above) and men's masters (35 years and above).

An endurance race would also be held, he said.

Interested individuals can apply at www.mtbmalaysia.com and the closing date is June 30.

Good to hear such event been held here in Langkawi. I do hope more promotion been done in area's especially KL to woo more participants..
