LANGKAWI: It was a proud moment for 60 pupils of SK Ewa at the ceremony organised by Teluk Datai Resorts Sdn Bhd (TDRSB) recently to celebrate the end of their primary school life.
The event also marked the end of TDRSB's three-year school adoption programme in collaboration with the Pintar Foundation.Hotel Management Destination Resorts and Hotels (DRH) senior vice-president Anthony Sebastian said TDRSB had adopted SK Ewa in 2011 under the Pintar programme as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative.
Sebastian said TDRSB had chosen SK Ewa because many of its employees had sent their children in the school.
"Our aim is to create awareness of the importance of academic excellence, especially to those from the low-income group as it will provide them with a better future and improve their living standards," he said after the ceremony.
