Lada tourism principal assistant manager Azmil Munif Bukhari said the promotion, which was conducted jointly with Tourism Malaysia in Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and New Delhi, received an overwhelming response.
"India was chosen due to the growing Indian tourist arrivals in Langkawi. We had received many bookings for wedding packages during the visit," he told Bernama here.
A total of 42,655 Indian tourists visited Langkawi last year compared to 25,58 in 2009.
